CARATTERISTICHE
Il Bioscanner� TRIMprob (Tissue Resonance Interaction Method probe) � un dispositivo diagnostico in possesso del marchio CE quale �sistema elettromedicale per la diagnostica non invasiva�; iscritto nel Repertorio dei Dispositivi Medici del Servizio Sanitario Nazionale.

Il dispositivo consiste in una sonda che, emettendo un campo elettromagnetico di esigua potenza, effettua un�analisi non invasiva dei tessuti che consente di rilevare la presenza di stati patologici (tra cui di particolare importanza le formazioni tumorali), e in un ricevitore che, mediante un programma software dedicato, consente di visualizzare l�interazione della sonda emettitrice con i tessuti e di registrare i test effettuati.
L�emissione elettromagnetica consiste nella generazione, con modalit� peculiari, di tre frequenze in banda UHF (intorno a 460, 920 e 1350 MHz), ognuna delle quali � associata all�eventuale risposta generata da tessuti di tipologia differente; in particolare, il segnale sulla prima frequenza interagisce con le formazioni tumorali evidenziando sul display del sistema un abbassamento della riga spettrale.

DRE: digital rectal examination (esplorazione digito rettale); TRUS: transrectal ultrasaund (ecografia transrettale); Coin toss: testa o croce.
DIFFUSIONE
ITALIA
Il TRIMprob trova al momento consolidata applicazione per la prostata e per la vescica. Il test � attualmente effettuabile presso una cinquantina di centri pubblici e/o privati in varie regioni italiane.
Una ventina di sistemi sono attualmente presenti in alcuni paesi esteri. Tra questi:
Francia, Belgio, Svezia, Brasile, Malesia, Iran, Giappone, Turchia.
